Silhouette Heart
a poem by Kelly H.
Silhouette heart
calling my name,
Ignore me, for I am not your slave,
Your servant,
Your fuel,
Or your vessel;
I am not a being of anger.
Take the emptiness that circulates within me
And leave me alone.
Silhouette heart
Light as a feather,
I want the colour of the world to return.
I want the joy,
The beauty,
The sadness, the heartbreak
The fog, the uncertainty
The pain;
The silver, the bronze, the gold, the stone;
I want it all to come back.
I lived faceless,
I embraced the powerlessness against you until it consumed me,
aching for my pathetic self to fade away
But silhouette heart,
Leave me or not,
Will leave me helpless to myself.
